Group 1 of the Records and documents relating to the Third Reich collection. Significant material include interrogation reports of major figures behind German weapons development as well as records from the United States Strategic Bombing Survey (U.S.S.B.S). Details on the operations at Peenemünde are found through the records of the United States Air Force History Division and those of the Deutsches Museum, Munich. The latter records specifically focus on Hochdruckpumpe (High Pressure Pump) at Peenemünde. There are also papers relating to the underground V-2 rocket factory at Nordhausen, Mittelwerk GmbH, which formed the archival basis for Irving's books, The Mare's Nest (1964), and Die Geheim-Waffen des Dritten Reichs (1965).Accompanied by a collection guide to the microfilm reel contents from which these images were scanned.
