Description With a listing of key events at the start, this correspondence has more of a focus on the business of the mission than the previous document. Commencing with a letter discussing Bishop MacKenzie's death from smallpox and the reaction to it. The presence of Muslim missionaries, converting natives to Islam, caused concern to the Christian missionaries who sought to convert those natives to Christianity. Meanwhile, the Bishop sought to change Likoma's name back to Nyasaland and he requested information as to whether he had jurisdiction in Rhodesia. While W.P.Johnson's correspondence is far more focussed upon work he has been doing on a day to day basis.
