All about Microfiche conversion

Microform Branding - Microfiche on a roll and spool.

Microform is proud to be one of the leading microfiche conversion companies in the UK, having helped businesses throughout the country convert their microfiche library into modern digital files.

Offering safe, confidential, and high-quality conversions, we can help you keep important and historical records safe for decades to come.

How does microfiche scanning work?

After a consultation has taken place with one of our scanning professionals, we take the delivery of the microfiche into our own hands by using one of our marked and tracked security vans.

Upon delivery at Microform, the microfiche are checked against a roster to ensure that each and every single image is present and correct.

Our dedicated handling team has hundreds of years combined experience in scanning microfiche. It’s also worth noting that each team member signs a confidentiality agreement before beginning work. This is due to the fact that we often work with law firms and businesses in the medical and financial sectors.

Once that the microfiche has been delicately placed into our industry leading scanners and scanned, every single image is quality checked by one of our technicians.

This means that clients receive only the best quality scans and images.

Checked once more against the roster, a selection of scans are presented for sign-off by the client before being delivered for a final sign off.

What types of microfiche can be scanned?

As you’re probably aware, there are a great many types of microfiche on the market and our versatile scanners are able to work with:

  • 16mm microfiche, or 35mm microfiche housed in a case or cassette
