Birth, Marriage and Death Register scanning. Search and retrieve a birth, marriage and death entry instantly using our exclusive bespoke software and preserve your precious register digitally.
As pioneers in the marketplace for leading change in technology with various academic and commercial institutions, Microform Imaging has created an innovative, unique and essential piece of software – REG (Registration Entry Gateway), for Register Offices around the UK.
Microform Imaging Ltd has worked closely with one the UK’s busiest register offices to create bespoke software that enables Registrars only, to search and retrieve any birth, marriage or death event entry located within the region of the council.
Combining 60 year’s preservation experience and looking ahead to the digital age – REG enables a register office to work smarter, more efficiently and helps preserve their important and vulnerable registers. For a city council, occupying a significant amount of space in a central location can be expensive.
For a county council, with several regional register offices, the amount of time spent on searching and retrieving events can be both cumbersome and expensive. In smaller towns, a district (borough) council may not have sufficient staff to cover the demand for the service.
Over the years, our clients have included:
- Liverpool City Council
- Warwickshire County Council
- Staffordshire County Council
- Wigan Borough Council
- St Helens Borough Council
- Blackpool Council
- Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.
We proudly exhibited at the LRSA Conference every year since 2013 and have generated masses of interest with Register Offices nationwide.
This already bespoke software can be contoured to the exact needs and requirements of each individual register office and will truly revolutionise the manner in which you search and retrieve a Birth, Marriage or Death event.
We are working on a collaboration with UKBMD. Our goal is to bring REG in line with UKBMD’s website so that online requests for certificates will be seamlessly passed to the correct register office.
Once passed to the register office, REG will allow for instant retrieval of the certificate.
